Kat McCluskey Kat has been in the veterinary field since 1994 and has worked extensively as a receptionist and a hospital manager. She worked as a receptionist for several large practices in The Veterinary Centers of America (VCA) group in San Jose, CA and then as a hospital manager at one of their facilities for several more years. After leaving VCA she took a position as an Oncology and Surgery receptionist at South Bay Veterinary Specialists in San Jose. In the summer of 2004 she left San Jose and came north to join Bend Veterinary Specialists as its office manager. |
Jennifer started working as a Veterinary Support Staff in the fall of 2005. She quickly worked her way up to Hospital Manager of a Veterinary Centers of America Hospital in 2006. Jennifer joined Bend Veterinary Specialists in August of 2008. In her off time Jennifer enjoys camping, floating the river and reading. She lives in Bend with her husband, two sons, two cats and their dog, Belle. |

Lynn Russell, CVT Lynn has an extensive background as a veterinary technician particularly in the areas of internal medicine and oncology. She graduated from Pierce College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 1991. Before coming to work for Bend Veterinary Specialists as its head technician in summer 2004, she had spent a total of 9 years as a medicine/oncology nurse first at Washington State University and then at the University of Missouri. She has also spent several years working in a specialty referral practice as an oncology nurse in Maryland. Lynn was also the President of the Veterinary Technician Cancer Society from 2003-2004. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician. |
Kristin Wolter, CVT, CCRA Kristin
has worked as a veterinary technican since 1991 and has worked in both
small animal and equine veterinary hospitals. She became a certified
veterinary technician in 2002. Kristin has been a member of BVS since
its opening in 2004. Her career interests include radiology,
anesthesia, surgery and physiotherapy/ rehabilitation. Outside of work
she spends her free time doing yoga and enjoying the great outdoors of
Central Oregon. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician and Certified
in Canine Physical Rehabilitation. |

Kena Johnson, CVT Kena started her career as a Veterinary Technician in 2001. After being a client at Bend Veterinary Specialists she became a member of the staff in the summer of 2006. In January of 2007 she became a Certified Veterinary Technician. When Kena is not working she enjoys camping, swimming and playing in the snow with her husband, two daughters and four dogs. |
Rhonda Witt Rhonda’s love for animals gave her the direction towards veterinary medicine. She began working in a general practice in 2002 and worked there until 2006. At that time she joined Bend Veterinary Specialists as a surgery technician. Later she made the switch to become an internal medicine technician. Rhonda’s professional interests include oncology, general internal medicine and anesthesia. In her off time she likes to wakeboard, camp and spend time with her husband and family. She has 1 dog and 4 cats! |

Mariah Eagles Mariah joined BVS in the summer of 2006. She started working as a receptionist but in the summer of 2008 she started working as surgery assistant for Dr. Parchman. She is currently attending COCC and is enrolled in Cedar Valley College long distance veterinary technician program in Texas in order to earn her technician degree and become a licensed veterinary technician. She has two four- legged friends, her dog Bruno and her cat Morris. On her days off she likes to spend time outdoors mountain biking and snowboarding. |
